You can count on it towards the end of almost every year – the people that reflect back on the year that just passed, cursing its name, and already putting all of their hope into a world’s better upcoming year. “Screw 2019 – bring on 2020!”. The funny thing is that it tends to be the same people saying the same thing, year after year.
To no fault of their own, this is naturally what happens when we choose not to look for the purpose in painful moments. While each year isn’t going to be sunshine and rainbows, there are learning and growth opportunities in the more challenging years. If we can take the lesson and find gratitude for it, it can help us to go into a New Year with a more positive mind and an open heart that will allow us to attract and live out the fulfilling life we were meant to live.
